Comparing my magazine to we love pop!

The We love pop contents page is packed with all sorts; this is different to my finished contents page because I decided to go for a less jam packed page with only a few pictures so the audience have to buy/read the magazine to see more of the pictures and competitions.

Comparing my magazine to we love pop!

I based my magazine on We love pop magazine because it is based around what i wanted for my magazine to be like (e.g for young teens 13-16 as an audience, bright colours etc.)
We love pop use new young 'popular' artists for the front cover such as one direction, little mix etc. Tis is because it attracts more readers who recognise the artists and enjoy their music, this gave me the idea to create a 'girl group' who were well known in the music industry to put on my front cover because they would be recognisable.
Also the bright house style makes the magazine stand out and look appealing to the eye, my main house style was pink and blue but for some magazines such as we love pop it changes every week.

Location!

Location: My main images will be taken at Portishead Youth Centre. One of the photos will be taken in the dance room because of the different lights they have in there, this photo will be used as the photo from there 'video shoot'. There are other places around youth club that i might use for other photos but this is not for definite yet.

Models!

Emma Thomas
Georgia Hulls

Ellie Ford
Rosie Jones
Models: My models for my girl group 'smooshe' will be my four friends Emma Thomas(Small, Short brown hair, would be seen as the tom boyish/sporty member), Georgia Hulls (Average height, long blonde/brown hair, would be seen as the girly girl of the group), Rosie Jones (Average height, long brown hair, would be seen as the comical/ prankster member) and Ellie Ford (Average height, short blonde hair, would be seen as the 'fashionita' of the group). I think they are suitable for my girl band because they all bring different aspects to the image that a girl band would have. I have used images of the girl group Little mix to help with ideas for what my models can wear and the different styles of clothing worn by pop artists.
